1. Krispy is a lucky, lucky dog. She says, and I quote directly from text message, "I went to a free Lady GaGa mini-concert for Jimmy Kimmel & she was flippin awesome!!!" I am not jealous or envious at all. (Damn you, Krispy! Some day I will have my non-specific vengeance!)
2. I finally saw Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. It was pretty epic and I liked it so much better than the book, which I found to be bizarrely-paced and kind of a hack job in places. Things that failed to make sense or just seemed weird in the book had more tension and emotion in the movie. Also, McGonagall was a total badass.
3. I also saw the Breaking Dawn: Part 1 trailer before HP&tDH:P2 (how's that for an impressive acronym?). I'm not going to go into the traumatic badly-written fanfic WTFery of Breaking Dawn the book. Instead I will show you my impression of the trailer:

5. Last but not least, there was another trailer that was so epically epic in its epic epicness that I kind of really want to see it and therefore pray that it gets at least passable reviews from critics. It was the testosterone-laden trailer for The Immortals, which looks like the foursome lovechild of 300, Gladiator, Troy, and Clash of the Titans.

That's it for this Friday! I swear I don't usually doodle shirtless guys so often. I guess it's just one of those weeks.
Have you seen any movies lately? Or watched any interesting/epic/homosocial trailers?
P.S. I (Krispy) will draw the Fairy Godmother Dilemma winner this weekend. Sorry for the delay! It's been a spontaneously eventful week! (And yes, I'm still on a Lady GaGa high. She performed five songs! 5! One of them twice because the 1st time wasn't perfect & they wanted to re-record the performance! Exclamation points ad nauseum!

I think the Immortals is by the people who did 300, hence the style, but I could be mixing this up with a different movie. Also, is it just me or do you NOT recall Theseus being that much of a badass? Just sayin.'
I love the doodles. The Immortals looks, well, special beyond mortal measure. I will probably see it just for the crack.
Trailers wise, I think the one that I'm most anticipating is The Avengers (we saw at the end of Captain America, though I think it's online officially now). Also, the cracktastic Three Musketeers: Steampunk. *g*
Ooo. I'm going to see HP today. Now I'm really looking forward to it after your glowing recommendation.
You have the BEST doodles! That Breaking Dawn one nearly killed me!
Breaking Dawn Doodle, ROFL!
Seriously, does that novel really have so much content that they needed to cut it into two movies? It didn't need to be more than 250 pages, but I guess if thousands of screaming idiots are DYING to see R Pattz as Edward Cullen two more times, the film industry will profit off it.
Love Henry Cavill for Theseus (he was the best thing about the film adaptation of I Capture the Castle). Thankfully, Tarsem Singh (The Fall <3, The Cell) was on board with this one, not Zack Snyder or—God forbid—Frank Miller.
Your drawings are fab :D
Love Harry Potter.
Okay - I adored Sherlock Holmes. Just a quirky movie that was fun to watch. I liked the new twist, and I'll go see (almost) anything guy ritchie does.
I've either been, reading, blogging, working on edits and rewrites, laundry, cooking, housework...no time as of late for a movie.
Oh good, so I'm not the only person who can be mad at her for not asking any of her FRIENDS to go to Gaga! I asked BF about it and apparently ANYONE could have attended. I see where we stand......:)
Awesome doodles!
LOL. I love the HP acroynm. I've been seeing so many around from 7.2 to P2, but I think HP&tDH:P2 is by far the best.
Planning to watch The Kite Runner tonight, if possible; my mom just finished reading the book, so it'll be interesting to see it with her.
I seriously adore all your comments on books/movies/trailers/etc. Like, there should be Alz commentaries for all books and movies ever.
I haven't watched any homosocial trailers lately, but X-Men: First Class can be categorized as a "Bromance."
I almost never watch movie trailers, so I usually have only vague ideas regarding what's playing in theaters. But yeah, LOVE your doodles! :D
I went to university, but I don't know what homosocial means. I shall look it up forthwith. :) My face movie of late was Captain America. It was surprisingly epic!!
I have, sadly, seen no movies lately. I will though.
