What's Up Wednesday (24)

What's Up Wednesday is a weekly meme geared toward readers and writers, so we can check in with each other. To join, just check out Jaime Morrow or Erin Funk's blogs for the link widget and sign up!

WHAT I'M READING
I'm hoping to start reading Coriolanus soon since, you know, I'll be seeing it in like two weeks. Reading slump, GO AWAY.

WHAT I'M WRITING
Sort of working on a new project. It's not a long project, but I think it will prove to be quite interesting. I don't mean to be mysterious, but it's in the very early stages of planning and am not sure where it will go yet. Needless to say though, I am excited!

WHAT INSPIRES ME RIGHT NOW

Friends, fandom, collaboration. Lots of bits and bobs have reminded me to be grateful for what I have and to enjoy myself more often.

WHAT ELSE I'VE BEEN UP TO

Being weirded out by the strange warm weather we're having, but enjoying the opportunity to wear skirts and dresses. Finalizing travel plans. Washing Loki. His scab came off and it looks like fur is growing back! Yay!

And in case you missed it, check out Loki's tumblr! Dog Days of Loki.

Met up with Corrie again and tried out the new Urth Cafe around here. Of course, we chose to meet up at a book store that Cameron Diaz was having a book event at, so it was ridiculously hard to find parking.

And the Sister and I finally met up with our friend Nicole for "taco bell Sherlock," which is a weird inside joke we have about hanging out and squeeing about fandom.

What's up with you?

I don't like to talk too much about new projects when they're in the earliest stages, either. In fact, I generally don't go into a lot of detail until I'm fairly certain of plots, characters, and so on. So much can change in the planning stages.

Have a great writing week, Krispy!

The excitement that comes with a new project is the absolute best! Of course, it makes perfect sense just to enjoy where it takes you without sharing all the details too soon. :-) Speaking of weirdly warm weather, up here north of the 49th it's been shockingly as well. I mean, not nearly so toasty as where you are, but still. January is normally the absolute worst for flipping cold weather here. Whatever. I'll take it!

Oh, Loki... So freaking cute! I'm so jealous of CA's warm weather. It's been in the 70s in Monterey, yet here in FL, we're lucky to break 55. Hurry up spring! Best of luck with your mysterious new project. I like to keep new ideas close too... They always feel so fresh and full of potential in the early stages! Have a great week, lady!

awww, Loki is adorable. And I'm loving the warm weather, but it's gone away from here for a bit. Hoping it warms up again later this week. Glad you are inspired with a new project, that's always exciting. And hope your reading slump ends soon.

I'm not sure if I'm impressed or appalled. Your dog has his own tumbler! One of my CPs recently wrote a short story about research animals that were conducting research on their human scientists and also posting all their findings on facebook. Apparently, Loki isn't far behind them. What's he writing about you Krispy?

Cameron Diaz having a book event? That's... weird.
I don't like talking about porjects in the planning stages either. I feel like I'm going to jinx them somehow.

Have fun with your new project!

Hiya

When my projects are very new I don't talk about them, but once I have a few plot points sorted or characters I sometimes do.

Loki is very cute :)

Aw, Loki is so cute! Good luck with your new projects :)

I understand being weirded out by warm weather. It was like that where I lived for a while ... then today happened. Ugh. I am not used to this cold weather.

Warm weather? What do those words mean? I've been buried in ice since November. ;)

Ooo, best of luck with your new project! I love the planning stage. There's so much possibility in it. Glad that Loki has healed up nicely. He's adorable in that picture, as always. :)
