EDIT: Apparently, this is the last What's Up Wednesday that will be hosted by Jaime and Erin! It's been a great run, ladies. Thank you for hosting!!
WHAT I'M READING
Same as last week. Also, here's a pic of my currently reading/TBR.
WHAT I'M WRITING
I actually finished up that freaking SNI scene that has been lingering around for a month now.
Writing Goal: Get back to the verse novel!
WHAT WORKS FOR ME
Seeing what other people are up to! It can be a little daunting and depressing at times because what other people are doing can be really incredible, but I think it also helps to remind me to work on my own things - and it's always great to see your friends doing well.
WHAT ELSE I'VE BEEN UP TO
Other than trying to get back on a reasonable sleep schedule, not too much. The Sister found a warehouse sale this past weekend, and we checked it out and may or may not have bought some stuff... Hey, every girl needs one super pretty dress at a deeply discounted price, right?
This weekend was also Loki's birthday!!! I can't believe our puppers is 3 years old! As if in response to turning a year older, he's been acting like such a BIG BABY these past few days - super snuggly and playful. We got him a new bed, a new toy, and a cake. He gets 1 slice every day.
On Monday, I had an "achievement unlocked" moment when I found out that Blackmilk had reposted my leggings + US History books picture to their Instagram and their Facebook!! I squeed and screen-capped it. It was great.
This week is also apparently Geek Fashion Week - a new event put together by the lovely ladies at Geek Fashion Week! They're running a contest with sponsor Her Universe to style 1 HU dress in 3 ways - casual, work, and night. Here's my entry with the HU Loki dress!
|Work / Night / Casual|
For more geek styling tips from me (har har, me giving styling tips? What?!), come back Friday because this week's 5 Fandom Friday topic is "1 Fandom item styled 5 ways"! I had so much fun doing this with my Marauder's Map dress! :D
NYC Trip Part 2 will be up tomorrow. My Alexander Hamilton love will be evident because I'm covering how I finally visited his house (a trip 4 years in the making)!!
What's up with you?
