I think Krispy could convey my amount of flailing over that one for you, hehe. Have you heard of James A. Owen's series <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/series/42990-the-chronicles-of-the-imaginarium-geographica" rel="nofollow">Imaginarium Geographica</a>? It's a very ambitious fantasy series that has its issues, but is wonderfully mindspinning all the same (though it might be too illogical for you? I'm not sure :P).<br /><br />Don't know how you feel about graphic novels, but I picked up one volume of the graphic anthology series <i><a href="http://www.goodreads.com/series/53673-flight" rel="nofollow">Flight</a></i> (led by Kazu Kabuishi, creator of the Amulet graphic novel series) and was blown away.
